Offering the best guidance, education and opportunities for young people.

'Brightstar's gave my son the confidence in the subject and empowered him to go into the exam prepared and relaxed'

What we do

We aim to work with young people and provide the opportunity for them to complete their core education, and to prepare them for the world of work. All young people will have a bespoke provision to make sure that their goals are achievable. Many of the young people will have an EHCP that will entitle them to financial support and therefore cover the cost of the provision. If the young person has been waiting for their EHCP for some time, we have an Educational Psychologist, who can provide assessment reports and EHCPs (fees arranged separately).

How we do it

We offer a range of workshops throughout the year to supplement the core subjects of English and maths. Four out of the twelve will be compulsory as they are focused on Life Skills and preparation for work. The purpose of these is to provide young people with the opportunity to socialise in a more relaxed setting. We have a range of workshops from music, art, gaming, food prep, outdoor pursuits and animal care. We are open to suggestions from young people, if there’s enough interest, we will deliver it.

Why we do it

'Education for young people should be a fundamental right. However, after years of working in secondary schools, as the teacher of a core subject, it was clear that more needed to be done to make accessible education available to all young people. Personal experiences also drive the determination to deliver education and guidance to as many young people as we can. We look forward to working with you'
